Alma Mediapartners acquires, a marketplace specialising in vehicle inspection services

Alma Media’s subsidiary Alma Mediapartners Oy has acquired, a marketplace for comparing vehicle inspection services, by buying the share capital of Ahorouta Oy, the owner of the online service. The website has been online since 2007. The parties have agreed not to disclose the price of the transaction.

In 2016, the marketplace had approximately MEUR 0.2 in revenue.

The service allows users to compare vehicle inspection stations based on criteria such as location, price and opening hours. Users can also use the platform to share their experiences of the vehicle inspection stations’ services. In 2017, the website averaged approximately 40,000 visitors per month. 

“Over the past few years, Alma Mediapartners has expanded its automotive media business from the buying and selling of cars to competitive tendering for car servicing. The marketplace is a very good fit with what we are already doing and it allows us to achieve synergies between different services. Competitive tendering services also make it possible to deliver even better services to consumers,” says Riikka Wulff, Managing Director of Alma Mediapartners Oy.
