KAUPPALEHTI REORGANISES ITS OPERATIONS
Kauppalehti Oy will begin statutory personnel negotiations affecting the company’s whole personnel excluding those working for Information Services and Digital Development. Negotiations affect 129 persons in total. The company estimates that the planned changes in organisation may have an impact for personnel and may reduce the need of workforce by the maximum amount of 9 full-time work years.
The negotiations are due to the rapid changes in the operating environment of the media companies, and the anticipated further changes during the coming years. Kauppalehti is the forerunner in the field of digital media and aims to be the winning media also in future. The transformation into digital media business requires flexible operating practices and even stronger development approach. Due to this, the company is planning a reorganisation and changes into the ways of working and processes to make them more efficient and competitive than before. The planned changes have an impact both in the editorial department and in the sales and marketing departments.
