Strong local media and the most popular nationwide online recruitment service join forces
MONSTER JOBS NOW PUBLISHED IN THE MOST READ CITY PAPERS IN HELSINKI REGION

 

Monster, part of Alma Media Group, and Suomen Lehtiyhtymä have started collaboration in publishing job advertisements. The first joint recruitment sections will be published in Lehtiyhtymä’s PKS papers appearing in the Greater Helsinki region -the Helsingin Uutiset, Vantaan Sanomat and Länsiväylä-as of January 8, 2011.

 

“Jobs are always local even if recruitment process takes place on a national level. That’s why it was a natural move to combine strong local media and Finland’s largest nationwide online recruitment service. The collaboration will increase Monster’s awareness in the Greater Helsinki region, and the local city papers can benefit from the reach of a national online service,” says Marja Pylkkänen, Managing Director, Monster Oy.

 

The job sections will be published on Saturdays, and they have the same visual appearance in all of the PKS papers. In addition to the traditional job ads, jobs in the Uusimaa province announced in Monster’s online service will in future be included in the form of text ads.

 

Helsingin Uutiset, Länsiväylä and Vantaan Sanomat reach a total of 385,000 readers, more than 40 per cent of consumers in the Greater Helsinki region. Monster’s online recruitment service gets an average of 90,000 weekly visitors from unique browsers, with as many as three million monthly job searches.
