MATTI POSIO TO LEAD LÄNNEN MEDIA

Mr. Matti Posio, 40, has been appointed project manager in the collaboration project of twelve Lännen Media newspapers. He will start as acting project manager immediately. If the newspapers agree to establish a joint editorial staff, Mr. Posio will start as editor-in-chief of Lännen Media on 1 August 2014.

Matti Posio has been with Aamulehti and Alma Media since 1995 as a news editor, producer of Sunday supplements, Moscow correspondent, head of the Perspectives/Culture department and, from 2012 to 2013, as acting editor-in-chief of Lapin Kansa. Mr. Posio is currently leading the Aamulehti renewal project.

Lännen Media is a journalistic collaboration project planned by twelve newspapers, namely Aamulehti, Satakunnan Kansa, Lapin Kansa, Pohjolan Sanomat, Kainuun Sanomat, Turun Sanomat, Kaleva, Ilkka, Pohjalainen, Keskipohjanmaa, Hämeen Sanomat and Forssan Lehti.
