As our Internal Tools Engineer, you’ll sit at the heart of Group IT Operations, helping colleagues across Alma work smarter by building, maintaining and continuously improving our tools, automations and AI-workflows.
You’ll get hands-on with everything from our ESM/ITSM and monitoring platforms to Microsoft 365 automations and emerging AI tooling. You play a key role in turning everyday friction into practical, reliable solutions that make a real difference for people across our international organization.
In this role, your responsibilities will be:
- Administer, maintain and continuously develop key Group IT Operations platforms, including our ESM/ITSM, monitoring, automation and integration tools.
- Build and maintain automations across Microsoft 365, Slack and other tools.
- Champion the adoption of AI in IT Operations and other areas of the business wherever it can improve efficiency, quality and speed.
- Translate user and business needs into practical improvements to our tools and workflows.
- Develop integrations using REST APIs and other appropriate technologies.
- Spot opportunities to simplify, automate and improve existing processes.
- Document your solutions and share knowledge with colleagues.
We hope you have:
- Conceptual understanding of IT platforms, integrations and enterprise solutions.
- Good analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Programming and scripting skills at a junior-to-mid-senior level, including: JavaScript, HTML and CSS, PowerShell, Power Platform scripting and automation
- Curiosity about AI-assisted development — and an interest in getting hands-on with it.
- Understanding of AI platforms and their practical use in business.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical topics clearly.
- Professional working proficiency in English.

This role can be based in Helsinki, Tampere, Prague, Zagreb or Bratislava with flexible ways of working.
