Alma Media to close down recruitment services Monsterpolska.pl in Poland and Monster.hu in Hungary

ALMA MEDIA TO CLOSE DOWN RECRUITMENT SERVICES MONSTERPOLSKA.PL IN POLAND AND MONSTER.HU IN HUNGARY
Alma Media’s subsidiary Alma Career will close down the Monsterpolska.pl and Monster.hu recruitment service sites and discontinue the operations of Monster Worldwide Polska SP. Z.o.o. in Poland and Monster Magyarorszag Kft in Hungary. The operations will be phased out by the end of 2018. In 2017, the companies’ total combined revenue amounted to approximately EUR 1.1 million.
“We will continue to be present in these markets. Our focus will be on the development and sales growth of the mobile application Praca za Rogiem, which was launched in Poland in spring 2018, and the online service Workania.hu in Hungary. The websites Monster.fi in Finland and Monster.cz in the Czech Republic will continue as before,” says Marja Pylkkänen, Managing Director of Alma Career.

Alma Career Oy is a joint venture of Alma Media and Monster Worldwide Inc., with Alma Media owning 83.3 percent of the company. Alma Career has recruitment operations in nine European countries and is the market leader in seven markets.
