The name of the new business unit combining Alma News & Life and Alma Regions is Alma Consumer

The name of the new business unit that focuses on consumer media business and is created as a result of the combination Alma News & Life and the Alma Regions business segments will be Alma Consumer.

 “The new unit is all about the Finnish consumer. We focus on serving consumers in important situations in life, from both local and national perspectives. We produce news and entertainment from Finland and abroad and start discussions on current affairs. We also develop relevant digital services for consumers,” says Kari Kivelä, Senior Vice President of the new business segment.

Alma Consumer plays a major role in the everyday lives of Finnish media consumers. Its printed and digital media and services reaches a total of 2.6 million Finns*. Alma Consumer publishes the national news media Iltalehti, regional newspapers Aamulehti, Satakunnan Kansa, and the local and town papers published in Pirkanmaa as well in western and central Finland. The offering of the business segment also includes several digital consumer services related to lifestyle, travel, cooking and dating. The printing and distribution unit Alma Manu is also part of the business segment.

In terms of revenue, Alma Consumer is the largest business of Alma Group. Its pro forma revenue amounted to EUR 151 million in 2017.
