Alma Media’s Member of the Board, Niklas Herlin (53), has deceased unexpectedly.

Niklas Herlin served as Member of the Board of Directors of Alma Media since 2013. During 1987-1996 he was an Editor and News Editor at business daily Kauppalehti. Herlin was also the Chairman of the Board and majority owner of Uusi Suomi, a news and blog service specializing in social dialogue, during 2007-2016.

Niklas Herlin acted also as the Board of Directors of Mariatorp Oy since 2005. Mariatorp’s and Niklas Herlin’s personal holding of Alma Media’s shares is 19.4 percent.
