Alma Media acquires ownership of B2B sales expert JM Tieto

Alma Media will acquire the entire stock of JM Tieto Oy. Prior to this, Alma Media already held a 20 percent stake in the company. The sellers are the founder of JM Tieto and the company’s acting management.

“The services of Kauppalehti and JM Tieto complement each other nicely,” states Kauppalehti’s Managing Director Juha-Petri Loimovuori. “Kauppalehti Information Services primarily offers information on companies, realties and individual persons, whereas JM Tieto focuses on marketing information and its applications.”

According to Loimovuori, the competencies of JM Tieto will also benefit other areas of the Kauppalehti Group, such as Alma360’s customer media solutions and Kauppalehti’s media sales.

“The acquisition will expand our services and clientele,” says Marko Viljanen, founder and Managing Director of JM Tieto.

JM Tieto specialises in building marketing and sales concepts for B2B companies. JM Tieto’s range of services combines B2B register and analytics services and new business acquisition services in addition to CRM and marketing technologies. The company’s estimated revenue in the current financial period is approximately EUR 3.6 million.

During spring of 2015, JM Tieto will be reorganised to form a part of the Kauppalehti Business Information Services’ operations. Marko Viljanen, the Managing Director of JM Tieto, will report to Otto Mattsson, Director of Kauppalehti Business Information Services.

The parties have agreed not to disclose the sale price.
