Talouselämä online news site is renewed

Alma Media Corporation                       Press Release                    3 January 2023

TALOUSELÄMÄ ONLINE NEWS SITE IS RENEWED

The largest weekly economic publication in the Nordic countries and published by Alma Talent, Talouselämä is renewed. The new online service is opened today, on Tuesday 3 January 2023.

As a new feature in the Talouselämä news site, a completely new digital edition starts. It is an easy-to-browse online publication that is compiled during the week. The digital edition of weekly magazine is completed on Friday and is thus a current, always accompanying alternative to the Talouselämä print magazine that is published at the end of each week. The digital edition will continue to be launched every week, 52 times a year.

Another novelty of the news site is the personalised (Oma Talouselämä) section, where the reader is able to collect and restore topics of interest for monitoring, but also compiling information recommended by the service, based on one’s reading history. In the news (Talouselämä Nyt) section, the reader can easily find the business news of the day.

“We will help and support readers in life’s various financial decisions on daily basis. It is our promise to open up complexity of the world with a clear Finnish language and, when necessary, take a bold stand on given issue. There is room in the constant stream of digital news for a media providing reader a chance to pause and ponder about,” says Jussi Kärki, Editor-in-Chief of Talouselämä.

“The new version of Talouselämä news site will add new value to our subscribers. A reader can easily find economic topics throughout the day, and at the same time, it is easy to follow topics of personal interest. Talouselämä news site offers the best parts of the weekly publication, but it is even more current and readily available than the print version. The new digital publishing concept also enables new marketing solutions for the advertisers,” says Johanna Suhonen, Commercial Director of Media at Alma Talent. New subscribers can try out Talouselämä news site free of charge for two months.

Talouselämä magazine is a financial media publication in Finnish. It was founded in 1938 and reaches 587,000 readers weekly (KMT 2022).
