Appointments at Alma Talent

Johanna Suhonen, M.Sc. (Soc.), 48, has been appointed Commercial Director for Alma Talent Media as of 15 February 2021. Suhonen is a member of the management team of Alma Talent, Alma Media’s business segment. Her new area of responsibility covers the customer-oriented development of the whole media business and related product management. Suhonen’s previous position was Director for Content Sales. Management team member Taru Lehtinen, M.Sc. (Econ.), 43, has been appointed Director of Alma Talent Services starting on 1 January 2021. Lehtinen has managed the information services unit Alma Talent Tietopalvelut since 2019. Arno Ahosniemi, Senior Editor-in-Chief of Kauppalehti, is responsible for the editorials of Alma Talent.

The reason behind these appointments is Alma Talent’s updated strategy and the goal to build an increasingly strong and integrated offering of digital data, content and marketplaces services in Finland and in Sweden alongside the media business.

– We are the clear market leader in the Finnish financial and technology media sector, and we digitalise our services strongly with the aim of increasing our recurring digital subscription revenue and digital advertisement revenue, says Juha-Petri Loimovuori, CEO of Alma Talent.

– At the start of 2021, we organised Alma Talent Services into one unit that provides professionals and businesses with a comprehensive range of digital services related to company information, real estate information, law, competence development and marketing services. Digital housing trading platform (DIAS) is also part of the new unit. Our aim is to provide our customers with the right information at the right time.

Alma Talent’s best-known media brands include Kauppalehti, Talouselämä, Tekniikka & Talous and Uusi Suomi. Suoramarkkinointi Mega Oy, which offers telemarketing services in Finland and the Baltics, is also part of Alma Talent.

Suhonen, Lehtinen and Ahosniemi all report to Juha-Petri Loimovuori, CEO at Alma Talent.
