Arvopaperi online service redesigned

Alma Media Corporation        Press Release        26 January 2017 at 9.00 a.m.

ARVOPAPERI ONLINE SERVICE REDESIGNED

Arvopaperi, the specialised investment media brand published by Alma Talent, is launching its redesigned online service today, Thursday 26 January 2017. The new service represents an even better response to the needs of readers who follow the markets closely. The website’s stock exchange section has undergone a complete renewal and is now more extensive than before. On the front page, readers can find the latest news from the markets, along with background information, analyses and key indices. The website is also the first media in Finland to provide an insider trading database.

Arvopaperi.fi is optimised for computers, tablets and smartphones. The redesign also sees part of the articles on the website moved behind a paywall, accessible only to subscribers.

“The renewal of Arvopaperi is the first development project under Alma Talent’s new strategy. Kauppalehti has been a pioneer in paid digital content. We have now developed a digital strategy for this periodical media as well. At Alma Talent, we have a strong belief in paid digital content and high-quality journalism. Our other media brands in Finland and Sweden will also be moving in this direction,” says Juha-Petri Loimovuori, CEO of Alma Talent.

“The customer decides which format to consume our content in—print or digital. Our financial and trade content is designed to benefit the reader, which makes it easy for the reader to find it worth subscribing to, also in digital format. The renewal of Arvopaperi is a concrete example of Alma Talent’s strength in product development. In addition to quality content, it is important to ensure good usability that suits the reader’s context for consuming it,” says Executive Editor-in-Chief Arno Ahosniemi.

Alma Talent is also continuously developing new marketing solutions for advertisers. The launch of the new Arvopaperi also marks the first use of sponsored digital subscriptions: the advertiser Estland & Partners offers Arvopaperi’s readers their first month of subscription free of charge.

Arvopaperi is a specialised investment media with some 147,000 weekly readers (Finnish National Readership Survey, autumn 2016). Arvopaperi is part of Alma Talent, which publishes 20 financial and trade media in Finland and Sweden, including Kauppalehti, Talouselämä, Affärsvärlden, Tekniikka&Talous and Tivi. In addition to its diverse media portfolio, Alma Talent offers a broad range of information services and efficient business and skills development tools.
