Alma Mediapartners strengthens its expertise in the automotive industry

Alma Media’s subsidiary Alma Mediapartners Oy is strengthening its automotive software expertise by buying all shares in Alma Media’s associated company Alkali Oy. The parties have agreed not to publish the price of the acquisition. Alkali Oy has seven employees and its annual revenue is under EUR 1 million.

Alkali develops software applications for various automotive industry needs such as retail, rental and leasing. The company has strong automotive industry expertise and, as an agile operator, it has been successful in reacting quickly to customer needs. This has seen the company triple its revenue over the past four years. After the buy-out, Alkali Oy will be supported by Alma Media’s support functions. This allows it to have an even stronger focus on its core priority, namely its customers, despite its growth.
“We have thus far developed various applications for real estate agency needs, and now, through Alkali, we can also offer a broad range of applications to our customers in the automotive retail industry. This presents a great opportunity for us”, says Riikka Wulff, Managing Director of Alma Mediapartners.
