Alma Media Corporation Press release April 3, 2013 at 15.00 EEST
ALMA MEDIA FOCUSES IN RECRUITMENT SERVICES IN SLOVAKIA AND DIVESTS ITS CAR PORTAL IN THE COUNTRY
Alma Media Corporation sells its Slovakian used car portal service autovia.sk to the leading Slovakian internet portal Azet.sk, in which Ringier Axel Springer Slovakia holds the majority. The deal has only minor financial impact for Alma Media as the annual revenue of Autovia.sk is less than MEUR 0.5.
Alma Media became the owner of Autovia.sk in November 2012 through a larger acquisition of several online business assets. The deal was a continuation to acquisitions made in the beginning of 2012, and made Alma Media the largest online recruitment service provider in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Croatia.
– Alma Media continues to focus on recruitment portal businesses in Eastern Central Europe. We are pleased that Autovia.sk has a new owner that can fully develop it further, comments Raimo Mäkilä, head of Alma Media’s Marketplaces business.
