KAUPPALEHTI NOW READABLE ALSO ON WINDOWS PHONES
Kauppalehti, part of Alma Media Group, today launches a new application developed in collaboration with Nokia and Microsoft that allows reading Kauppalehti’s news on all smartphones using the Windows operating system. The application works on the newest Windows 8 smartphones as well as those with the earlier Windows Phone operating system.
The Windows application is perfect for following business news every day, regardless of place and time. Readers can see the stories published in the daily Kauppalehti, real-time online news and the most recent stock exchange information. The daily Kauppalehti can be read in the new digital format. Stories and images are formatted for smartphones.
“A significant percentage of Kauppalehti’s readers already use online services on their mobile devices every week, and the popularity of Windows phones is increasing rapidly. People in decision-making positions and readers interested in investing wish to follow business news throughout the day, which is easy to do with their smartphones. We are focusing on the development of content services that meet the needs of our readers in all mobile channels”, says Johanna Suhonen, Director, Content Sales, Kauppalehti.
Kauppalehti’s Windows application is downloadable free of charge at the Windows Marketplace application store. The new application is available for free trial until March 31, 2013. Continuing its use after that will require a Kauppalehti subscription.
In addition to the Windows application, Kauppalehti’s facsimile edition can be read with Apple’s iPad and iPhone devices, as well as tablets and smartphones using the Android operating system.
