Iltalehti Oy, part of Alma Media Group, has acquired the Finnish blogging service, The seller and the founder of the service, Mr. Tuomas Rinta, will resign from and join as of 3 November 2008. The service is home to more than 50,000 blogs and 1.25 million blog posts. Some 1,500 new entries are posted in the service each day.
Iltalehti is the publisher for the third largest printed newspaper in Finland as well as for the most popular online media,, which has regularly gained more than 1.5 million visitors weekly.
