Alma Media cancels sale of Acta Print Oy holding to Edita

ALMA MEDIA CANCELS SALE OF ACTA PRINT OY HOLDING TO EDITA

 

Alma Media Corporation announced in December that it will sell its 36% holding in Acta Print Oy to Edita Oyj. On Friday 21 January 2005 it was announced that Talentum Oyj had retracted its decision to acquire Edita Oyj. For this reason the sale of Alma Media’s holding in Acta Print Oy to Edita Oyj is also cancelled. Alma Media will enter a EUR 3 million writedown on its Acta Print Oy shares in its fourth-quarter 2004 accounts, as previously announced. Owing to the cancellation of the deal, capital loans totalling EUR 6.7 million will not be returned to Alma Media.
