Corporate Governance

This section includes information on Corporate Governance at Alma Media. Alma Media Corporation applies the rules and regulations stipulated by its Articles of Association and EU legislation, as well as those issued by the NASDAQ Helsinki Stock Exchange for listed companies. Alma Media applies, for example, the Market Abuse Regulation (MAR) and the directive on criminal sanctions for market abuse (MAD II) which both entered into force on 3 July 2016. Alma Media also complies with the Finnish Corporate Governance Code 2020 for Finnish listed companies provided by the Securities Market Association.

Alma Media’s Code of Conduct also contributes to the implementation of good corporate governance. This Code of Conduct applies to all employees of Alma Media and its subsidiaries regardless of their position in the organisation and the nature of their employment. The Code of Conduct is supplemented by the journalistic and ethical principles of editorial offices and Alma Media’s Group policies, such as the HR Guidelines and Guidelines for Insiders.
