Interest grew from a close distance
Jenna Turunen worked in the Alma House lobby services for five years under various employers. During that time, she got to know Alma employees and Alma as a company. At the end of 2023, Jenna officially became one of the Alma people in her new role as a service advisor for Nettimökki.
“Alma has a wonderful range of people, diverse tasks and opportunities to advance in a career”, Jenna lists attraction factors of the company.
Over the years, Jenna has noted the unifying kindness of Alma employees and the company culture also known as #almaspirit.
“Everyone is nice to each other, regardless of their position or unit. Alma employees are also united by their curiosity to explore, their courage to express their own thoughts and their desire to always improve a little.”

Jenna highlights the different experiences of being included, as the most delightful and memorable moments within the company. The greatest successes in work are also created together – with the work community and customers.
”I have been able to help with the photo shoots of Iltalehti, Kauppalehti and Alma Media Group. I got to have Alma Stories Day on Alma’s Instagram. And I have also received a bouquet of flowers from the CEO. The best feelings of success are created by solutions made together with colleagues and when receiving thanks from customers at the end of a call or messages.”
Before choosing the customer service career path, Jenna’s studies were related to horses. Interest has remained in the form of a hobby, and the flexibility of work makes it easier to combine the important hobby with everyday life.
“Remote working days bring nice flexibility, and I can get to the stables early”, Jenna explains.
What role would you like to hear about next in #AlmaStories?
” I would like to hear about a photographer or visual communications author”, Jenna hints.
