Alma Media Corporation Press release March 22, 2011 at 9.10 (EET)
MONSTER UNVEILS JOB HUNTING IPAD APP
Monster, part of Alma Media Group, launches an iPad app for job hunting, making the perfect opportunities available to all job seekers – anywhere, any time. The app mimics the natural way people search for jobs in an easy to use, touch screen format and is available for free download via the Apple App Store.
The app uses Monster’s unique advanced search technology to precisely match job seeker’s skills and experience to the right opportunities. The app lets the seeker search for job openings based on one’s current or preferred location. A link direct to Google Maps is the perfect way to see where a company is based and to check transport links.
The app exploits the best of the Apple iPad’s capabilities, making full use of the large display and touch screen, making it easy to sort through available opportunities to find the right ones. One can even receive on the spot alerts as soon as jobs are posted, putting you at the front of the queue for opportunities.
Coming up – application for Android
Monster’s iPad app allows seekers to save searches or email jobs to view on a PC later. One can keep favourite job opportunities in a ‘saved jobs list’ and then access the list and apply for a job whenever is more convenient. One can also apply for jobs directly from the iPad, select which CV to attach and which covering letter is most appropriate for each position. By signing up to a Monster account, one can also create saved searches that will email you the latest jobs.
The iPad application joins the iPhone app as part of Monster’s range of mobile applications for job hunting. An Android app will be coming soon.
