Sanna Keskinen appointed Editor-in-Chief fro Alma Media’s local papers Raahen Seutu and Raahelainen

SANNA KESKINEN APPOINTED EDITOR-IN-CHIEF FOR ALMA MEDIA’S LOCAL PAPERS RAAHEN SEUTU AND RAAHELAINEN
Ms Sanna Keskinen, MA, has been appointed Editor-in-Chief for Alma Media’s local papers Raahen Seutu and Raahelainen. Ms Keskinen will assume her new post in Raahe on February 1, 2011 when the present Editor-in-Chief, Mr Martti Nousiainen retires.
Before her new post, Ms Keskinen has held the position of Project Coordinator for a rural communication project run by the Union of Rural Education and Culture in Northern Ostrobothnia. Her earlier responsibilities include those of Shift Manager, Sub-Editor and Regional Reporter at the newspaper Itä-Savo appearing in the city of Savonlinna, Finland, and Reporter at the regional editorial office of the Keskipohjanmaa newspaper in Ylivieska, Finland.
Before her journalist’s career, Ms Keskinen worked as lecturer of communication and the Finnish language at the HAMK University of Applied Sciences.
Raahen Seutu is a subscription-based local paper appearing five days a week, and Raahelainen a weekly city paper.
Both papers are published by Suomen Paikallissanomat Oy, Alma Media Corporation’s local paper company. In addition to Raahen Seutu and Raahelainen, it publishes 16 subscription-based local papers and two city papers in various parts of Finland.
