KAUPPALEHTI BUSINESS NEWS ON MTV3 TO DISCONTINUE
As part of its efficiency initiative and development of its programme map, MTV Oy has terminated its cooperation agreement with Kauppalehti Business News. The broadcasts will end in August 2009.
Kauppalehti Oy, part of the Alma Media group, has produced Kauppalehti Business News for the MTV3 channel since 1999, first within the framework of the group’s internal cooperation and, after Bonnier AB acquired MTV3 in 2005, as an external production partner.
Kauppalehti Business News has been a high-quality, popular news programme that has given valuable visibility to the Kauppalehti brand. The termination of the cooperation will not have a significant effect on Kauppalehti’s financial result in 2009.
Due to the termination of the agreement, Kauppalehti Oy will start personnel negotiations with Kauppalehti’s editorial staff concerning personnel changes in Kauppalehti’s cross-media editorial office.
