The partnership agreement concluded between Alma Media and Amos Rex, an art museum opened in the centre of Helsinki in August 2018, unites these two powerful social operators. It supports Alma Media’s goal of boosting the sustainable growth of individuals, companies and society.
The cooperation between Amos Rex and Alma particularly focuses on young people. The partners will offer young people the opportunity to participate, make a difference and be seen and heard by organising, for example, a series of social discussions as well as art workshops for young people. The projects will be organised in cooperation with other parties, such as the Finnish Children and Youth Foundation, a long-term partner of Alma Media. The foundation brings to the table solid expertise on young people and organising youth activities.
Alma Media will be the main cooperation partner of Amos Rex from 2018 to 2020.
Alma Media and Amos Rex, an art museum opened in Helsinki in 2018, concluded a three-year partnership agreement with the goal of diversely enabling young people to be heard. The agreement covers the years 2018–2020. The agreement’s programme includes art workshops for young people and a series of social discussions.
The new Amos Rex art museum in the heart of Helsinki is envisioned to become an active and interactive cultural centre that is open to diverse cooperation with a wide range of art brought as close to people’s everyday life as possible.
“Alma Media and Amos Rex share a very similar purpose and vision. The purpose of Alma is to boost sustainable growth for individuals, companies and society,” says Elina Kukkonen, Senior Vice President, Communications and Brand at Alma Media.
“Media and art bring different people together and encourage genuine public dialogue. They support the balanced development of society and also give a voice to those who would not otherwise be heard. The youth-focused cooperation of Amos Rex and Alma Media is a natural fit for this task,” she says.
