Tech Lead for Legal Insights

 
We're looking for a Tech Lead to join our Legal Insights business and drive the development of our legal tech services, including Edilex and Edilex AI. In this role, you'll lead technical architecture in alignment with Alma-wide principles, champion modern development practices (self-sufficiency, managed services, CI/CD, observability, and secure development), and bring AI-driven thinking into everything we build. A solid understanding of Gen AI technologies is essential. 

You'll work hands-on with the team while supporting product development, mentoring engineers, and fostering a collaborative, product-oriented culture. If you're passionate about combining robust engineering with legal tech innovation, let’s talk.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead technical architecture aligned with Alma-wide principles and drive adoption of modern development practices (platform thinking, managed services, self-sufficiency).
  • Embed AI and Gen AI technologies into solutions and development workflows.
  • Mentor and support the engineering team, fostering skill growth, autonomy, and high-quality delivery.
  • Collaborate with product teams to translate business needs into scalable, reliable legal tech solutions.
  • Ensure excellence in code quality, security, test automation, CI/CD, and observability.
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation in tools, practices, and team ways of working 

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in technical leadership roles (e.g., Tech Lead, Lead Engineer).
  • Strong background in software architecture, modern dev practices, and secure development.
  • Understanding of Gen AI technologies and their application in product development.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD, observability, and test automation.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with product and business teams.
  • Excellent communication and mentoring skills, with a product-focused mindset.
