Finance Data Lead

We are Alma Media – a fast-developing digital service and marketplace company operating in 11 European countries. Our Finance function is on a transformation journey: building scalable, digital-first ways of working and making finance fully data-driven. To strengthen this journey, we are now looking for a Finance Data Lead to join our Finance Data Office.

Your role

As Finance Data Lead, you will be the owner of financial data quality and governance at Alma Media. Your mission is to ensure that reporting data is accurate, relevant, and efficiently managed across systems, processes, and business units. You will design our financial data model, oversee changes, and ensure that data flows consistently and correctly across the organization.

You will work closely with Finance Operations, Business & Corporate Finance, IT, and business units – ensuring alignment, reliability, and scalability. You will also help lay the foundation for AI-driven reporting and analytics, making Alma’s finance function smarter, faster, and more future-proof.

Our finance landscape includes SAP Public Cloud as the ERP platform, SAP Datasphere as the data management solution and HFM (Hyperion Financial Management) for consolidation.

What you will do

  • Own and design Alma’s financial data models and governance framework.
  • Ensure financial reporting data quality: accuracy, consistency, and timeliness.
  • Lead data-related change management in system development and reporting processes.
  • Collaborate with business units, Finance Operations, and IT on data needs and priorities.
  • Drive efficiency in data collection, reducing manual work and freeing time for analysis.
  • Support the transition toward AI- and automation-enabled reporting.

What we expect from you

  • Strong experience in financial reporting, data management, and governance.
  • Knowledge of finance processes, systems, integrations, and master data (experience with SAP or HFM is a plus).Proven ability to set up and maintain data governance practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with stakeholders across finance, business, and IT.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; Finnish is an advantage.
