UN Sustainable Development Goals 10 Years – Alma participates in building a sustainable future

On September 25, it will be ten years since the United Nations’ 193 member states agreed on the Sustainable Development Goals and the Agenda 2030 action plan. At the heart of the program are 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which guide work on sustainability until 2030. Thousands of actors around the world – including Alma Media – have committed to promoting these goals.

Agenda 2030 is already more than halfway through, but only 15% of the goals are on track to be achieved. Finland is one of the best-performing countries in reaching these goals, especially in terms of social sustainability, but there is still much room for improvement in environmental and climate objectives.

Today 25th of September 2025 is SDG Flag Day—the global anniversary of the Sustainable Development Goals. Companies, communities, and other organizations demonstrate their commitment to the goals, raise awareness about the UN’s action plan, and drive change across different sectors of society.

The UN Global Compact SDG’s relevant for Alma Media are listed below. Hover over each image or use keyboard focus to discover what Alma is doing to support each goal.
