Alma Media will merge Alma News & Life, the business segment that now produces news and lifestyle services, and Alma Regions, the segment focusing on regional and local media business, beginning on 1 April 2018. After the merger, Alma Media will have three business segments: Alma Markets for digital marketplaces and the recruiting business, Alma Talent for finance media and professional and corporate services, and a new unit for the consumer media business. <\/p>\n

Alma News & Life brands include, for example, Iltalehti<\/strong>, Ilona<\/strong>, Rantapallo<\/strong>, Telkku<\/strong>, and Kotikokki<\/strong>; Alma Regions brands include Aamulehti<\/strong>, Satakunnan Kansa<\/strong>, and 14 local newspapers, among others. <\/p>\n

After the merger, Alma will have a strong unit for consumer media and services\u2014an expert consumer marketing hub\u2014which will allow closer cooperation between the Alma units. The new unit will have a significant role in the Finnish media consumer’s life nationally, regionally, and locally. Every week, its media and services will reach nearly 2.6 million Finns: readers, consumers of digital services, and consumers with purchasing power. <\/p>\n

The new unit offers to our marketing customers\u2014nationwide chain stores, regional businesses, brand advertisers, and SMEs\u2014an extensive audience and more versatile media and marketing solutions in print and digital channels, content marketing, and creative solutions, using the latest technology and data. <\/p>\n

The new unit’s media sales will be positioned in the Alma Media Solutions organisation led by Tiina J\u00e4rvilehto. Account management and contact details will remain unchanged for the present. <\/p>\n
