Treasury & Tax Manager
Location: Finland, Helsinki or Tampere
Reports to: Director, Business Finance & Treasury
Alma Media is seeking a skilled and driven Treasury & Tax Manager to join our Finance team. In this key role, you will be responsible for managing and developing the Group’s treasury and tax operations in an international environment. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance and optimize financial efficiency across the organization.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and develop short- and long-term cash flow forecasts
- Analyze financing needs and plan funding solutions to optimize financing costs
- Manage and monitor financial risks including interest rate, foreign exchange, and liquidity risk
- Manage and optimize intra-group financing, including internal loans, cash pooling, and dividend flows
- Monitor the Group’s capital structure, support financing arrangements, and ensure compliance with financial covenants
- Develop and execute the Group’s tax management strategy, ensuring compliance with local and international tax regulations
- Identify and manage tax risks and analyze uncertain tax positions
- Oversee transfer pricing principles, documentation, and intra-group agreements
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, regulatory requirements, and Group policies related to treasury and tax management
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop and optimize treasury and tax management processes
- Manage and develop treasury and tax reporting
What we are looking for
- Proven experience in corporate treasury and/or tax functions, ideally in an international environment
- Strong knowledge of financial instruments, tax regulations, IFRS and financial risk management
- Strategic thinking and understanding of the business and its impact on finance, along with knowledge of balance sheet and cash flow structures
- A forward-thinking mindset with the ability to develop processes and implement changes through a hands-on approach
- Fluency in English
