“Iltalehti’s story is unique in the Finnish media landscape, and I have been involved in writing it for more than 30 years. For this, I am grateful and proud. A great story and a wonderful audience. Iltalehti will always have a place in my heart. A transformation is in full swing, and the operations have a solid basis. This is the right moment to pass the baton to future makers,” Hakala says.

“I would like to thank Petri Hakala for his excellent work on the development of Iltalehti and wish him all success in his future endeavours,” Kivelä remarks.
