CHANGE IN THE ALMA MEDIA EXECUTIVE MANAGEMENT GROUP: RAIMO MÄKILÄ, SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, ALMA MARKETS, TO RETIRE IN JULY 2019

The head of Alma Media’s Alma Markets business segment, Raimo Mäkilä (61), has announced that he will retire effective from 31 July 2019. He started at the Aamulehti Group in 1997 has worked in his current role at Alma Media since 1999.

“I would like to extend my warmest thanks to Raimo for his excellent work towards Alma Media’s success. He has played an essential part in making our company an international player and a multi-channel media company,” says Kai Telanne, CEO and President, Alma Media.

“In the middle of the digital transformation, we have managed to grow the business operations of Alma Markets into a strong and diverse digital service provider. Alma Media has provided me with wonderful vistas for more than two decades, and I will gratefully leave the responsibility for leading Alma Markets to my successor,” says Raimo Mäkilä.

Alma Media has started the search for Mäkilä’s successor. The role of Senior Vice President, Alma Markets will be filled by the time Mäkilä retires.
