NEW ONLINE SERVICE FOR CLASSIFIED ADVERTISING, MYYJAOSTA.COM, TO BE LAUNCHED ON FEBRUARY 1, 2012

Mikko.fi, an online service for classified advertising, part of Alma Media Corporation, goes through a transformation on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 and changes into new MyyJaOsta.com online service. MyyJaOsta.com offers more efficient way for consumers to sell their products online as well as in regional and local newspapers all over Finland. The combination of national online service and local papers ensure a superior visibility for the advertiser.

MyyJaOsta.com online service has a new and improved visual appearance and usability. The basic functionality of the service remains the same as in Mikko.fi – whoever can buy, sell, give, rent and auction their products in the nationwide online service.

Vast newspaper network to support advertising

MyyJaOsta.com differs from other similar services with its vast network of regional and local newspapers. Consumers can reinforce their product visibility with a newspaper advertisement in MyyJaOsta.com-column in their local paper.

For newspapers MyyJaOsta.com offers a channel to serve customers also through a national online service.

– Both online service and printed newspapers have their own natural role in product trade between private consumers, and they complete each other well. It is more sensible to sell small, affordable products in the web, whereas expensive products find more buyers from the pages of newspapers, Riikka Wulff, the Managing Director of Alma Mediapartners Oy sums up.

Via MyyJaOsta.com, it is possible to buy newspaper advertisements from 13 regional papers and 20 local papers*, of which part is owned by Alma Media Corporation and part act behind Arena Partners Oy. In the spring, the selection broadens, and it is possible to advertise all in all in over 70 regional and local papers. Newspaper advertisements are paid safely in internet service bank.
