Alma Media divests the business of Kainuun Sanomat sheet printing house

ALMA MEDIA DIVESTS THE BUSINESS OF KAINUUN SANOMAT SHEET PRINTING HOUSE
 
Alma Media has sold the sheet printing business of Kainuun Sanomat Oy, together with its machinery and equipment, to KS Paino Oy. The employees of the printing house will continue in the employment of the new owner with existing status and benefits. The deal will become effective on August 15, 2007.
 
Alma Media sold the business operations of the newspaper printing house of Kainuun Sanomat Oy in June this year. As the newspaper printing business, the sheet printing operations now sold will continue on its present premises in Kajaani. The sheet printing house’s products include interest group magazines, books and advertising products.
 
“This deal concludes the outsourcing of Kainuun Sanomat’s printing business, which is necessary to continue printing operations in Kajaani”, says Matti Ilmivalta, Managing Director, Alma Media Northern Newspapers business unit.
