ALMA INTERMEDIA REVISES ITS STRATEGY AND PLANS TO REORGANISE AND RATIONALISE ITS OPERATIONS

Alma Intermedia Oy, an online directory and telemarketing company belonging to Alma Media Group, will revise its strategy during the coming months. Simultaneously, Alma Intermedia plans to reorganise and rationalise its operations to accelerate the execution of the renewing strategy.

The planned changes reflect the difficult market conditions in the directories business and the weakened competitiveness of Alma Intermedia. The objective is to improve the competitiveness and operational preconditions of suomenyritykset.fi online directory and to secure the financial position of Alma Intermedia.

Due to the planned measures, Alma Intermedia begins statutory cooperation negotiations with its employees. The negotiations encompass the entire personnel of the company, in total 18 persons. The negotiations concern the plans to rationalise and reorganise operations, the consequences these actions may have on personnel as well as the grounds, impacts and alternatives for the actions. Alma Intermedia has anticipated that the number of its employees may decrease by 11 person-years maximum as a result of the negotiations.
