MATTI KÄKI TO LEAD ALMA MANU PRINTING PRESS

Matti Käki, 49, M. Sc. (Tech.), has been appointed as Director of Alma Manu printing press. With the appointment, he also joins the Alma Regional Media management team. Käki will assume responsibility for printing press operations, revenue growth and financial performance. He will take up the post from 1 January 2015.

“I am excited to be joining Alma Manu as a Director. It is a great privilege to lead a cutting-edge print house and work with a team of such highly-skilled, expert professionals,” Käki said.

He is confident that the print media will continue to thrive alongside online media into the future, as a source of high-quality journalism and as an effective advertising channel.

“However, in the future, the only print houses to thrive will be those that are able to align their operations and product offering with the needs of their clients. I am confident that Alma Manu will be one of the success stories,” he added.

Previously, Käki has held positions as Managing Director at Forssa Print, as Unit Manager at Hansaprint Oy, part of the TS Group and as Managing Director of Hansaprint Direct Oy. Käki first began his career at the Sanoma Corporation print house, working as a project engineer and production manager.

Alma Regional Media is a business unit publishing all of Alma Media’s regional, local and city newspapers.  Its best-known brands are Aamulehti, Satakunnan Kansa, Lapin Kansa, Kainuun Sanomat and Pohjolan Sanomat.
