Settlement reached in dispute over Etuovi trademark

SETTLEMENT REACHED IN DISPUTE OVER ETUOVI TRADEMARK

The dispute between the media company Alma Media and Mr. Jori-Pekka Träskbäck, a Tampere-based entrepreneur, over the ownership of the Etuovi trademark has been concluded. The parties have reached a settlement that results in Alma Media obtaining all rights to the Etuovi trademark. The parties have agreed not to comment on the details of the settlement.

– We are pleased to have finally reached a settlement in this long-running dispute. With the dispute being settled, we can further develop our Etuovi business, says Riikka Wulff, Managing Director of Alma Mediapartners Oy.

– The negotiations were held in a good spirit and we reached a resolution that satisfies both parties. With the 12-year dispute now behind us, both parties can continue to develop their business operations without being burdened by a trademark dispute, Jori-Pekka Träskbäck comments.
