Suomen Paikallissanomat begins personnel negotiations

SUOMEN PAIKALLISSANOMAT BEGINS PERSONNEL NEGOTIATIONS
 
Suomen Paikallissanomat Oy, a part of Alma Media Group, will begin statutory personnel negotiations in Pohjanmaa area, affecting Kokkolan Sanomat, Vieskalainen, Pyhäjokiseutu, Raahen Seutu and Raahelainen newspapers.
 
The subject of the negotiations is the plan to organise the operations so that the publisher’s newspapers in the area form a common profit center organisation. The objective of regional restructuring in Pohjanmaa is to achieve better efficiency by combining operations and eliminating overlapping work.
 
The planned operations are estimated to lead to the reduction of maximum seven man-years.
