MONSTER OY PRESS RELEASE 1.2.2007
Monster.fi launches internet recruitment fair today
Monster.fi launches the second online recruitment fair in its history on its internet pages today. Thirty-one companies are participating, each with its own recruitment video.
Links in the recruitment videos enable jobseekers to find the companies' home pages with information on job vacancies etc. The virtual fair offers companies a unique opportunity to get themselves known to jobseekers, to create a positive employer image and to enhance their recruitment efforts. The fair lasts two months to the end of March.
"The image of the prospective employer is assuming ever greater importance in recruitment communications. No other channel offers the same possibilities for creating a desirable employer image as the internet. The fair gives jobseekers a compact but overall view of what companies are looking for, what it's like to work for different companies, and why the jobseeker could be particularly suitable for a given company," says Monster's marketing manager Tiina Laisi.
Monster.fi is Finland's leading online recruitment service. It has continuously increased its market share and in 2006 the number of job vacancies on its pages grew by more than 50 % on the previous year. Some 200,000 different job applicants visit the Monster.fi pages every month. Monster is owned by Alma Media Corporation (75 %) and Monster Inc. (25 %). Monster offers prospective employers an effective online forum for job advertising; in addition to the online pages it enables advertisements to be placed in Finland's leading business and tabloid dailies, Kauppalehti and Iltalehti.
