Alma Media Corporation     Press release 16 March 2020

ALMA MEDIA ANNOUNCES PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES AT AGM ON 25 MARCH 2020 IN CONNECTION WITH THE RISK OF INFECTION OF THE COVID-19

Due to the situation caused by the coronavirus Alma Media is taking precautionary measures to decrease any risk of infection of the COVID-19 in connection with the company’s AGM. The meeting will be held at the same date and venue as previously disclosed on 25 March 2020 at 12:00 noon (EET) in the Bio Rex movie theatre (Lasipalatsi, second floor), at the address Mannerheimintie 22–24, Helsinki.

Alma Media is offering a possibility to follow its Annual General Meeting (AGM) via webcast. Alma Media advises this solution for all those or who are considered to be part of the risk group, shareholders who have been travelling abroad, have otherwise been exposed to the coronavirus within 14 days prior to the Annual General Meeting or have symptoms of illness, to consider not attending to the meeting venue.

Please note that following the AGM by webcast means the shareholder’s shares are not considered to have attended the meeting. It is not possible to speak or vote over the webcast. Shareholders have the possibility exercise rights by way of proxy representation. A dated proxy document of a shareholder’s proxy representative should be delivered to the Company by 12 EET on 20 March 2020 to email yhtiokokous@almamedia.fi.

At the AGM all presentations and speeches, including CEO review, are kept short and to the minimum. Shareholders can later watch the CEO review on Alma Media’s investors website. The review is in Finnish.

In addition, participation by both the Board members and the Group Executive team members of Alma Media will be minimised.

No food or refreshments will be served in connection with the meeting and there will be no product showroom or newspapers. The seating arrangement provides extra space between people. Standing microphones are arranged and no microphone or any other things will be circulated in the audience. Hand sanitisers will be available at the premises.

Doors will open at 11.00 a.m. and shareholders will be asked to go directly to meeting hall after registration.

More information on following the AGM via webcast and authorizing another person is available on the company website.
