MARJA PYLKKÄNEN, MANAGING DIRECTOR OF ALMA CAREER, TO STEP DOWN

Marja Pylkkänen, Managing Director of Alma Career, will step down on 31 March 2019. Alma Career Oy is a joint venture of Alma Media Corporation and Monster Worldwide Inc. From the beginning of April 2019, Mika Kiiskinen, Country Manager at Monster Finland, and Karolina Sirova, head of Monster Czech Republic, will report to Raimo Mäkilä, head of Alma Markets.

In August 2018, Alma Media announced to close down the recruitment services websites Monsterpolska.pl in Poland and Monster.hu in Hungary as well as the companies linked to their operations. Alma Career will focus on the development and sales growth of the mobile service Praca za Rogiem in Poland and the online service Workania.hu in Hungary. The websites Monster.fi in Finland and Monster.cz in the Czech Republic will continue as before.

– Marja has acted as the Managing Director of Alma Career and its predecessor Monster Oy from 2010, and before that in several positions where she developed Monster.fi and the preceding Jobline.fi -recruitment service. Marja has done a fantastic job over these years and I want to wish her all the best in the future, says Raimo Mäkilä, head of the Alma Markets business segment.

I’m grateful for all these 18 years that I’ve had the chance to work at Alma with wonderful people and amazing brands, especially Monster.fi. At Alma, I feel that I have been heard and respected, and had the opportunity to learn, succeed and fail. After March, however, it’s time to move on to new things, leaving Monster in good hands, says Marja Pylkkänen.
