Alma Media strengthens its mobile network, cooperation with Widespace will end

Alma Media Corporation                         Press Release                 17 February 2016

ALMA MEDIA STRENGTHENS ITS MOBILE NETWORK, COOPERATION WITH WIDESPACE WILL END

Alma Media is ending its mobile advertising cooperation with Widespace. From now on, it will offer its mobile advertising solutions through its own national network. The coverage of Alma Media’s mobile advertising network is already one of the most extensive in Finland, and the combination of Alma’s services with Talentum’s offering will expand it even further.

The demand for programmatic buying has grown at a rapid pace among Alma Media’s customers. The programmatic buying of mobile advertising is one of Alma Media’s focus areas, alongside traditional direct sales.

–  Alma’s digital marketing solutions are highly developed and advanced, as evidenced by a recent survey on the corporate images of media agencies. With Alma’s tools, advertisers can utilise data, analytics and user profile data from mobile sites and applications and target their campaigns effectively. Data can be utilised before, during and after the campaign, and re-targeted to a new group. This makes advertising even more effective than before. Alma’s Rich Media tools easily allow advertisers to create highly interactive campaigns that also have a good attention value, says Tiina Järvilehto, Director of Alma Media Solutions (AMR).

–  Our aim is to produce the highest possible added value for our advertiser customers. Unfortunately, the co-operation with Widespace did not very often yield better results for the campaigns in our media, and we noticed that often, the solutions the advertisers bought directly from Alma may be more effective. This is why we want to focus on developing our own solutions, Järvilehto continues.

Alma’s different media have tens of mobile sites and applications that reach a total of approximately four million browsers per week. The audience is national, and the primary user groups are news media and active citizens who follow housing and car services.
