Alma Media's newspapers are the most important information sources and active spokespeople of their respective regions. They reach more than two million readers every day. Alma Media publishes the afternoon paper Iltalehti, five regional papers and 30 local and city papers, including their online services.Newspapers is the largest of Alma Media's three business areas with five business units: Iltalehti, Aamulehti, Satakunnan Kansa, Northern Media (Pohjois-Suomen Media Oy) and Local Newspapers (Suomen Paikallissanomat Oy). Of the circulation sales of the Corporation's regional papers, 93–99 per cent are based on subscriptions, out of which approximately 89 per cent are indefinite subscriptions.
