Laura Rintala, Assistant to Managing Director

Laura Rintala works as an Assistant to the Managing Director at Kauppalehti. She assists the Managing Director, coordinates the work of the management team and is responsible for internal communication. Her work involves, among other things, acting as the editor for Kauppalehti’s staff newsletter. She also plans and organises both small and large staff events in collaboration with the HR Department. She characterises her work as diverse, interesting and fast-paced.

– I previously worked in investment banks, so Kauppalehti and the media industry in general was new and very interesting to me. This job gives me an excellent perspective on the media sector. I get to be involved in many different things and organise them. I like the fact that I can influence things and communicate them to others.

Laura is also motivated by the company’s atmosphere of encouraging innovation. Anyone can make suggestions for improving operations and all ideas are systematically processed.

She will soon celebrate two years at Kauppalehti and is pleased to have learned a great deal in that time. In fact, the learning started right from the first few days on the job.

– The induction training for new employees here is broad and extremely thorough. I haven’t seen anything like it anywhere else. The company supports the development and renewal of its employees’ expertise. I think it’s fantastic that people here are involved in everything that is done, from planning to practical implementation. This high level of participation results in a good team spirit, Laura says.
