THE COPYRIGHTS OF THE KOTIKYMPPI PAPER BOUGHT BY POHJOIS-SUOMEN MEDIA

Pohjois-Suomen Media, part of Alma Media Group, has bought the copyrights of the Kotikymppi free paper, published in Kemijärvi.

Kotikymppi is issued once a week in Kemijärvi, Salla, Savukoski, Pelkosenniemi, Luosto, Sodankylä, Northern Posio and Northern Kuusamo.

– The deal strengthens Alma Media’s position in Northern Finland and Lapland. Along with this deal, we can serve the readers and advertisers of the region even better than before, says Matti Ilmivalta, Managing Director of Pohjois-Suomen Media.

Pohjois-Suomen Media Oy publishes three regional papers – Lapin Kansa, Pohjolan Sanomat and Kainuun Sanomat – and five local or city papers. The company employs in total appr. 200 persons in Lapland and Kainuu regions.
