STOCK EXC.BULLETIN 16.10.2000, at 10.30 am(EET)1/2 JORMA SAIRANEN AND PAULI AALTO-SETÄLÄ JOIN ALMA MEDIA FROM NELONEN Mr Jorma Sairanen will take up the post of Vice President, Programming for MTV3 Channel and TVTV! no later than 1 May 2001. Mr Pauli Aalto-Setälä has been appointed Vice President, Content in Alma Media Group from 16th November, 2000. His area of responsibility will include the new digital channels. Both join Alma Media from Nelonen, where Sairanen was Channel Director and Aalto-Setälä was Managing Editor of news and current affairs programmes and Director of Nelonen’s New Media operations. Mr Jorma Sairanen (46), MSc (Econ.) has been appointed Vice President, Programming of Alma Media Corporation’s wholly owned subsidiary MTV Oy. Sairanen will be responsible for the programmes of both the national MTV3 Channel and the new cable TV channel TVTV!. He takes up his new position no later than on 1 May 2001. Sairanen comes to Alma Media having held the post of Channel Director of the rival commercial TV channel Oy Ruutunelonen Ab (Nelonen). His previous experience includes positions as director responsible for programme purchasing at Oy Kolmostelevisio Ab, assistant director at MTV Oy and various posts in advertising and marketing research agencies. Mr Juhani Pekkala, Managing Editor, is responsible for news and current affairs programmes in MTV3 Channel. Sairanen and Pekkala report to Mr Ilkka Kylmälä, President of MTV Oy. Mr Tauno Äijälä, Executive Vice President of MTV Oy, will henceforth be responsible for MTV Oy’s domestic and international television projects. He also represents MTV Oy on the boards of directors of Suomen Urheilukanava Oy, the CityTV companies and TV4 AB in Sweden. Äijälä also continues to sit on MTV Oy’s board of directors. He reports to Ilkka Kylmälä, President of MTV Oy. Mr Pauli Aalto-Setälä (34) takes up the position of Vice President, Content in Alma Media Group with responsibility for content development for the Group’s new channels and Alma Media’s cross media projects from 16th November, 2000. Alma Media’s new digital terrestrial channels and broadcasting based on Broadband/ADSL technology is part of its New Media business area. Alma Media has new digital channels in Helsinki, Tampere and Turku, as well as regional channels to be set up in the same format elsewhere in Finland and software services distributed by via MTV3-ADSL connections. As Vice President, Content Mr Aalto- Setälä will also be responsible for cross media projects. He joins the company having been Managing Editor of news and current affairs programmes in Oy Ruutunelonen Ab (Nelonen), and before that he held various news editing positions in MTV3 Channel. Aalto- Setälä reports to Mr Jaakko Nieminen, Senior Vice President, Corporate Development of Alma Media Corporation.
