Registration with the Luukku e-mail system takes place at http://luukku.com. Port Alma GPRS tested Alma Media’s Port Alma mobile service has been tested at Ericsson’s MAI (Mobile Applications Initiative) testing laboratory. Results show that the WAP service also functions in weak conditions which can occur in the GPRS (General Packet Radio System) during rush hours and in poor network conditions. Results so far are being used to further develop and refine the Port Alma mobile service. The function of the service depends in particular on how the terminal device, in this case the WAP phone, works in error situations. Careful testing can eliminate certain deficiencies of terminal devices. Ericsson’s MAI laboratory is tracking the operation of the GPRS system.
